ABOUT MR ATTILA DEZSO
Mr Dezso has been a consultant since 2008.
NHS posts: Walsall Manor and University Hospital Birmingham.
His main interest is otology, hearing loss, management of vertigo and tinnitus. Apart from seeing patient with general ENT and ear problems he has expertise in paediatric audiology, implantation otology, and skull base conditions. He is one of the founding members of the British Balance Network and member if the international otolological group The Politzer Society. Council member of British Society of Otology. Certified surgical tutor and has a strong research interest. Fellowships Skull Base Surgery, Cochlear Implant.
Mr Dezso specializes in general and specialist otology. Procedures include: grommet insertion, myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty, mastoidectomy, combined approach tympanoplasty, Bone Anchored Hearing Aid. Non surgical management of: Vertigo, BPPV, hearing loss, skull base disorders, acustic neuroma, tinnitus and hyperacusis, patulous Eustachian tube and Eustachian tube dysfunction.
Post Graduate Educational Committee at Walsall Manor Hospital. Clinical Supervisor of Foundation Year trainees and Specialist Registrars. Member of Theatre `user Group at Walsall Manor Hospital. Elected council member of British Society of Otology.
Apart from his clinical work he has a strong interest in research. Current project is a randomise dcontrolled study to help improve hearing in children with glue ear. Principal investigator at Walsall Manor Hospital
